have to say im loving the dresses and the bit of natural hair is great too! i have to say that they are some traditions i really miss about irish dancing. today it is so much about the tan and wigs that the true spirit of the dancing sometimes gets lost!

3000 miles away it is probably called "Competitive Irish Dance".Over here, the Format shown in the video is called Feis. Tabatha was correct.

Irish dancing is supposed to be carrying on a tradition. The notion of "antiquated" for traditional dancing is absurd.

I think number 37 (red/white dress) is the best! She pretty much hangs her leaps and she's super high on her toes.

actually, cohmhail, coimisiun and festival, aren't typs of dancing at all, they are irish dance organisations, the typ of dancing is irish step dancing, there are other forms such as set dancing, ceili dancing and sean nos, but step dancing is the solo dancing that one competes in
