um... you mean when you sing you sound like you're singing the falsetto notes? oooO. i see. well, try listening to male artistes and try to sing like them. wait a little longer and see whether you can sing like a guy. btw, r u a guy or a girl?

Reply to niceuser123]IMO I believe it can.I started singing in a choir a while back (alto) & everytime I sing, I can never hear myself/check my pitch(&it doesnt help that the soprano section overpowers the altos so my voice tries to go high, stay at alto, & go to tenor all @ the same time so my voice cracks a lot). But, it can also make you a better singer. Once you get used to singing in a group, it's going to be easier for you to sing in general, because you'll be in control of ur voice more.

This is not necessarily true. There is a difference between a falsettist and a countertenor. Look at the works of Coffin, Garcia, Wall, and Boldrey, amongst others. The sound difference itself should give it away, let alone tessitura, range, and the color of the voice. Additionally, not all males sing falsetto in this manner; x-ray and scopes have shown male falsetto to be produced in multiple ways, including partial and full chord closer.

Ok,so i am a baritone,a bass/baritone,and i am doing my falsetto, but since i am not in opera classes (yes,i learned all by myself :D haha, listening symphonic metal) but i cant reach the same levels tenor can reach,i mean, the highest ones...like in nessun dorma ,i cant reach the last "Vinceró"....what kind of excercises do i have to do to improve my falsetto to reach higher notes?

does practicing with more than one singer can harm our voice?
