I loved him in Riverdance, but I notice that the older he gets, the more "prancing" and "preening" he does...I can't stand to watch most of his new stuff - it drives me nuts!

I agree with you completely. I can't stand how he prances and jumps around like a fairy. It truly does take a lot away from the footwork, which is the true beauty of Irish Dance. It's because of this that he is my least favorite male lead Riverdance has ever had.

He is a good choreographer. I'll give him that much. And as a flute player myself, he's also a great flute player. But I just can't get over all the preening and prawning on stage as if he is God's gift to the world. It really takes away from the footwork, which is so beautiful about irish dance.
