No soy ni de lejos un experto en musica. Leo que algunos critican sus "enormes fallas tecnicas"... A mi no me importan. Disfruto enormemente su bella voz. Grandiosa !!

I do not wish to spoil anyone's enjoyment of Cecilia Bartoli's singing, and I think that, like Pavarotti, if she can bring opera to the masses, that's great. I only pointed out some of her technical faults. I know that nowadays few people care about details.

I don't give a damn what anyone says. (and I DO know the details!) She has the ability to express the text in such a way that immediately pulls one into what she is doing. Some say she can't even sing. That's BS. And at a=440 she is hitting those high c's and e's. Not bad for a mezzo. Take that you "Queens of the Night"!

Wow. Cecilia, I love you!!

I couldn't agree more! We're a bit off topic, but I promise this is my last message about Maria here. I'd like to quote the words of the famous conductor Nicola Rescigno about Callas' voice: "Callas has often been accused of having three voices. Nonsense! She had three hundred. Every role she portrayed had a special voice, and within that particular timbre she would constantly change colors to convey the message of the composer."

I agree 100%, besides, I love Callas's voice, it's unique. You can recognize her among many other sopranos.

I understand perfectly. My comment only referred to yours, when you said « she is perfection », which is not true, objectively. Callas manages to combine the two: perfect technique and deep emotion (whatever one may say on the 'quality' of her voice, everybody agrees on her supreme musicianship).

Excuse me for insisting in this matter Marco, but, may be I'm right or wrong, but I find in Cecilia what I want from an artist, and it is not the perfect technique. I want that an artist touchs my feelings with his singing. And Cecilia gets that. Never mind if her technique is far to be perfect. That is the main reason why I love Callas. That is my opinion.

I see it now, thank you. OK, she is not perfect, but sounds awesome though!!!!!
