i love this song. it reminds me of grandma. she lost a curagous battle of breast cancer. She was the back bone to the family. now my grandpa is going down the wrong path where now he is spending time in jail for his poor actions. love you grandma and i will miss you.

My "PAPA' passed away in 1964 at the age of 89. He was my best friend, my fishing partner, he helped me with my school work, never missed one of my "little league" baseball games and always supported me in any endeavor that I attempted. The last thing my "PAPA" said to me was "no matter what happens in life, just do your best and no one can fault you for "not trying", if you should fail in life "from time to time".I miss "my best friend" even after "all these years". This song is for PAPA.

This is in the top five of my favorite songs of all time--and I have thousands! I adore Collin Raye, and I admire Skip Ewing for telling his grandparents' beautiful love story. It makes me cry every time, but I always belt it out. Thank you, Skip and Collin, for a masterpiece!
