I'm sure Bonnie was only too happy to let the boys play and help out on the backups. There are some radio tapes around that have Bonnie playing acoustic gtr and singing with Lowell. these folks just liked to PLAY TOGETHER, 'cause they really respected the music.

You could also say there were two periods during the Lowell George era. the first when dope wasn't what he lived for and the second when his living for dope killed him.In the first, they were simply amazing. In the second, he was messin' up so bad, they had to tell him to go............

There are definitely two periods: Before Lowell died and after Lowell died.Still great but different.Bonnie Raitt learned slide from Lowell and still plays in his style. Close your eyes on some of her songs and LG is right there. But without Lowell LF is a band that knew him best and performed with him and now uses his recipe. But it can't possibly be the same cuz Lowell ain't here.I've seen the bright lights displayed from both periods and there was just one Lowell George.

Saw em in w/Lowell in the 70's, and during the Roll w/ it tour in the 80's. You can't replace George. They are not the same, but they are still Feat without Lowell. The same, but not the same. U no likee? I respect that. But, 6 cats in Feat. 1 dies, and your not 'allowed' to change and grow? Feat are doing it now cause they love it...they ain't makin' big money; they're playing clubs! Ya gotta respect that. Saw em' at a club a few years back, and they played their asses off.

I agree. It may not be quite the same without him, but they are still a damned good band, one of the better ones out there. The Feat don't fail. Evar.
