Sorry if I insult your feelings, waistoi. I agree that comparing these violinists is the same nonsense as comparing Adelina Patti and Anna Netrebko. I just was answering to someone's comparacy, who wrote in french that Joseph Hassid is an "old style", while Sarah's performance of Meditation is superb. I'm really sorry that we have no possibility to listen to the oldest style played by Paganini :)

What's the point of comparing Sarah with Josef Hassid? Two different people in two different times and two different places. Josef is probably one of the most amazing prodigy on the violin ever born. But then, what has this got to do with comparing him with Sarah Chang and then denigrating her playing as "shallow hollow sound"?
