the Kufar or Makkah would hide in the dark by the prophets (pbuh)'s house at night, in the hopes of catching a few verses. the qur'an is so beautifull, to hear it in the prophets voice would be an even bigger blessing. May allmighty Allah give all those who were blessed with seeing the Prophet and hearing him (pbuh) a place in Jannah; and may he grant us, the believers, a place along side them in Jannah!Ameen

your correct but as long as he sticks to the tajweed rules, we cannot dispute with him raheem allah, and offer opinions on our subjective view of what is considered correct.
