i'm sure he's never claimed to be the planets best vocals. I think he does alright.

The Toto/Ian Gomm Comparison is vague. I can hear a hint of similarity but that's it. When Rolling Stone magazine reviewed Toto's "IV" album in 1982, the writer mentioned that one of its songs "Rosanna" ripped off the Spinners "Games People Play", me thinks) but, don't quote me on that. I suppose you could do another comparison with those two songs. So, maybe there is something there with the Ian Gomm song. But, the mention was worth a post: thanks.

Hey, anyone who wants controversy: ¿Don't you think the song (excluding the chorus) is similar to TOTO'S 'ST. GEORGE AND THE DRAGON'? Both were launched in 1979, I don't know which was the first. Look for Toto's song in this site.

I agree with you about the live performance. This was a minor hit in Peru in 1979. I like it.

Hello Canada I'm "just down the road" from you ...(Massachusetts). Ian Gomm and other "Stiff" artists were the soundtrack to my last year of high school as well. They sure sure beat disco right?V

Nice to see this 'song' live. This song was somewhat popular where I lived in Atlantic Canada. I remember the album: Gomm With the Wind.Yes, 1979.This is great!Ian has had so much previous history with so many amazing bands; he's to be remembered and celebrated.Loved this song, reminded me of the fall of 1979 (High School). Thanks sunserious.
