The new testament is an amendment to the old testament laws. That is why we don't beat the shit out of non virgins anymore. Tho some deserve it for being the hoe's they are and producing children they are not capable of raising. Why do evolutionist use an old book of the bible to make a point that the new testament (Jesus) reorganized for the new times. If Harris would read the new testament he'd have no leg to stand on.

I would love to see a William Lane Craig vs. Sam Harris debate.

How did he misinterpret? Why don't you stone women who are not virgins at marriage?Do you believe you are more moral than your God?

What an idiot. He quotes Leviticus but knows NOTHING of the Old Testament Mosaic Laws.

Actually it's just the simple fact that i do not think that life is meaningless, bible or not i will not be drawn into your petty arguments. I'm done with this thread. Honestly stop spreading your negativeness onto others. If you you beleive in something different than others you shouldn't be an ass to them.

Concerning the evidence of scripture, you have to read a good book on bibliology and the amount of manuscripts available.I talk by experience. For the Muslims, most countries have been evangelized in the past, but still need today. I work in Muslim countries, and might even go in the weeks to come. God use all kind of people. The danger is that you might get killed to present the gospel or to become a believer in these countries. For evidences, start with Jesus Christ.Everything turns around Him.

It has to end. You devoutly believe in things for which there is no evidence, yet blatantly deny the existence of other gods for which there is just a little evidence - prayed to zeus lately? Oh the greeks got it all wrong did they? YOU know best. Face this fact: if you'd been born of muslim parents how would you have found jesus and the western christian god? According to your current world-view, the hypothetical muslim-you would go to hell.

The message is that God does not want anybody to perish. He wants faith and repentance for our own sake. Salvation is by grace. But, if we choose to refuse the gift of salvation (Heb 2:1-3), if we want to live our lives exactly like we want, without any care of violating God's love, then ...yes people go to Hell by their fault. The error is to believe that obeying God is a "burden". It is not, when you have embraced the message of the gospel. God want our happiness, not our harm (Jn 10:1-30)

I have read the bible, thanks (I'm sure you'll just tell me to go read it again) - yes you are right: there is a hell, but god doesn't want us to go to it..... but we WILL go to it if we don't do as god says.... that is just double speak for 'god wants anyone disobedient to go to hell' - you cannot escape the violence of this notion - especially when 'disobedience' as in the new testament includes things, the punishment for which should NOT be burning for eternity.

He can participate in his creation, but if he did, it wouldn't be in the same way we would participate. You appear to think that by not having a body, God is less than perfect when in fact that's what makes humans IMPERFECT. If God chose to, he could probably manipulate natural forces such that the wind would blow in a certain way that could lift the pen and move it in such a way that it would write words on a page, but that kind of randomness in nature would probably do more harm than good.
