how does he bounce his bow without making the scratching sound?is it just because this is an old recording?cause people like perlman make that annoying scratching sound too when they bounce their bows on newer recordings.or was his bow just godly?

Notice I didn't say vaguely Russian school. I know the differences, I've studied under world renowned artists. You know when you are passionate about something and you stick by it you feel like defending it. Come on guys I don't want to explain this is silly, I'm not posting anymore. I'm just stating how I feel. Go practice and stop hating.

I see you appreciate Saraste, too. He was also a follower of the Franco-Belgian style.

The Moscow school of violin playing is certainly a valid style with its own merits, but calling it the only correct way to play the violin is quite a stretch. Pedagogues Auer and Flesch, among others, taught the Russian style, whereas Galamian, Gingold, and Ysaye advocated the Franco-Belgian style (albeit with a few twists). You wouldn't say Perlman or Szeryng play the violin wrong, now, would you? Also, Oistrakh may have been Russian, but his bow grip was closer to the Franco-Belgian style.

Indeed! How dare someone use ever possible technique and virtuosity in playing the lowly violin. An outrage! Showcasing a single instruments capabilities is beyond reproach. A horrible man, indeed...Q.E.D.
