He never wrote about the rainbows in Hawaii, the colors of the Wisconsin in the fall, or the many shades of blue in the Caribbean waters. But listening to Rocky Mountain High makes me more appreciative of these places that have meaning to me. Love you and miss you, John.

It was with this song that I came to his music in 1974. I had moved to a Rocky Mountains, and JD helped me appreciate my new home. I moved away in the late 80's and stopped listening to him, but I have now come back to his beautiful music and his beautiful spirit.
