Better than, in my opinion, The Passion of the Christ, which is a superficial piece of junk.

3:43-3:48 is just mind blowing!

Actually, the camera cracked letting light in, thus messing the film up.

I love how the fundies cry BLASPHEMY! at the image of Christ with Mary...um...that was the last temptation of the title, folks. To live a life like every other man, and not sacrifice Himself.*sigh*It's a beautiful film, and has the courage to portray Christ as a MAN.

The ending film reel messing up was not an intentional act. However, they decided to keep it as I assume they thought it was an interesting accident. This film and ending are beautiful.

Judas Iscariot was from Brooklyn? That explains a lot.

I think what they are trying to exspose here are the things that could have gone through his mind during all of this as he was part human... not that he acted them out though.

it's not a blasphemy because it's a drama-novel, the author said it wasn't based upon the Bible itself, it's like... if you twisted some parts of the history of humanity (like Jorge Luis Borges) to create another kind of experimental fantastic-mythical story.I believe in God, in Jesus, in Mary... even in the devil, but I can't name this as blasphemy. Like FlashGORDONXVFFR said: it's gorgeous, a masterpiece of cinema!!!Scorcese: damn great director!DAFOE: fucking huge, incredible actor!
