Thanks so much for posting to mandolin cafe. I know we should get on with it and make a new video. I'm seeing Tania on Saturday - I'll mention it to her then. Actually my mother first chose mandolin for me as an instrument which is easy to carry around and I thank her whenever I get on an aeroplane with it. Charango is even smaller and now I see its versatility. Tania plays one made from an Armadillo (in a traditional Andean way).Cheers,Ruth

thank you - i posted your video to mandolin.cafe - seems you have fans there as well. when can we expect more?i treat the charango more as a traveling medieval/renaissance/baroque guitar or vihuela ... the sort of thing you'd find on either the "nina," "pinta" or "santa maria" ...mega ciao - bill

Thanks Bill! We're not trying to be intimidating though Tania does seem to enjoy writing pieces which are unusual rhythmically. I checked out some of your videos - I've never heared a Charango played in that style before. Very nice!

Hi Mark,Good to hear from you. I think Tania used a bit of Charango strumming and extended an Andean strum in other parts.Best wishes,Ruth
