No sorry my fellow Australian, that's just a shitty online game (with bad graphics). The idea that it could even begin to represent the psyche is well worthy of ridicule, and as mentioned earlier, this vid plays into any number of misconceptions and stereotypes.

This video only spreads the popular misconception that all schizophrenics are a danger to society because of voices telling them to kill others. This is a horrible illness, and and it is disturbing that anyone in the mental health field would post a video showing the worst of all stereotypes of schizophrenics. This could have been a useful video to enlighten others, that have no knowledge of schizophrenia, without portraying them as a danger to society.

They can not be sure that is what a schizophrenic goes through. They are using 20th century diagnostics and using 21st century computer graphics to back up the DSM-IV. How very quaint.

is this some kind of sims-online or what? lol

This guy needs to get his head out of the DSM and into books written by schizophrenics, like Hannah Weiner's "Spoke." He captured all of the stereotypes and none, not any, of the subtleties of a schizophrenic episode. This video may help people who don't understand schizophrenia, but it would be a disservice to anyone who was hoping to derive greater meaning from the video than basic diagnostic descriptions, which, IMHO, were inaccurately portrayed.
