Absolutely brilliantly done by Tarkovsky. The ease out on the table, the transistion of mood, the symetery of the closing, all absolutely pure art. He has this divine ability, if you've seen any of his work, I've only seen "Stalker" to meld moments togather, yet at the same time, using no cuts, he fuses the moods, which causes the closing to be nothing but pure cinema, in its purest form. Ode to the Russian! P.S. I plan on viewing Rublev and Solaris and after seeing this, Mirros, Ty for the vid.

Esta es la primera película que vi de Tarkovsky, y la verdad, más allá de idolatrías y fanatismos, es una verdadera obra de arte, es genial. Con esta película descubrí a uno de los mejores directores de toda la historia del cine, que nos cuenta las cosas siempre desde un punto de vista tan personal, sugerente y enigmático, que hasta el mismo Lynch se sorprendería de algunas secuencias y del mismo argumento. Gracias Andrei, esto sí que es esculpir el tiempo!

looks like a nice looking film, just bought Stalker but yet to watch it.Cant beat Bela Tarr for long shots, the master of the 10 minute single shot, Satantango is an outstanding film.Thanks for the up, gonna check it out.
