@Iggy3dAnd? I can not understand your point. If you read the French book "what is the third estate" of Abbas Seyes, a book which prepared the revolution, you will see that the French Rev. was the revolution of the Romans of Gaul against the Franks who turned Rome into an oppressive institution which is called Papacy and enslaved the western Romans. I am not into violence as well. But that's historical facts. Your home, and every Christian's home, is the Orthodox Catholic Church.

Greece is the only Orthodox country not to have suffered from the evils of atheist communism. Every single Orthodox country on earth had a communist past, from Ethiopia to Russia...

I'm French but I won't stand for state secularism, be it Kemalist, French or Soviet, rest assured. The French Revolution was an orgy of violence in the name of 'reason' and 'freedom' - not for me.

@Iggy3dFrance was Orthodox of course as well. France was the ancient Gaul and it was christianised as part of the Orthodox Roman Empire. Gaul was named France after it was conquered by the Franks. In the true Roman Empire, the term Roman was a synonym of Orthodox.

The Christian war is not against men and their freedom. It is a spiritual war against those spirits who deceive men into making wrong choices. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."Remember that the true Roman Empire, from when she became Christian until her fall in 1453, did not launch a single aggressive war and lasted more than any other empire.

@Iggy3dWe do not buy fascism, not even under a christian cloak. The papist Italy invaded the Orthodox Greece. Was Greece a communist state? Do not be fooled by the papal propaganda. You are French. Do you know the role of your country in helping Kemal ousting the Christians out from the territory where Christianity first flourished, i.e. Minor Asia, in 1922, althout they were France's allies during the WW1? Let's do not talk about the past then.

@Iggy3d Just consider what was the position of the Pope during the Middle Ages and what's his position today. Dunno if he would be anything at all without the help of Moussolini. So, let's do not talk about communism please. Papacy was just lurking to bring the Orthodox under its dominion. But Stalin was clever and when Hitler, who was acting with the blessings of the Vatican, invaded Russia, he opened again the Temples and appealed to the patriotic sentiments of the Orthodox.

..."HAEC LEO POSUI AMORE ET CAUTELA ORTHODOXAE FIDEI", that is "I, Leo, put here for love and protection of orthodox faith". Rome and the whole Christian world was Orthodox until the eleventh century. Orthodoxy can not be bound and limited by numbers and territories. The division between East and West is artificial created by the Frankish and Norman conquerors for political reasons. But if I was to adopt your own criteria I would say that Papacy is a shadow of what it was in the past as well. |
