The best way to deter a war is to remain strong during peacetime, and though these carriers may not have stopped any wars, they've helped us fight them well. And let's be a little more respectful to Israel - we shouldn't let them dominate our foreign policy, but they're our only respectable ally in the Middle East.

And think of how many wars just the mere presence this ship can stop. We are not a "War Whores". The US has created and supplied several international relief society groups to feed those kids. We don't claim perfection just the pursuit of it.
