Not quite ! They killed one Irish player - Michael Hogan from Tipperary - and also thirteen innocent spectators. This was their brave response to the assassination of a group of British spy's by the IRA that same morning.To put it in context can you imagine a bunch of Nazi's shooting into the crowd at the Stade de France in retaliation for the actions of the French Resistance ?But I do agree that we should all move on but not without paying due respect to some of those who got us here !

What caused all the emotion was the fact that a team of irish players were shot dead by british soldier on this very pitch. Anyway nice to move on positivly in the future.

Ireland's call is one of the most beautiful anthem in the world... a rugby anthem I love. Even if I'm french, I could cry with this crowd who sings this song of freedom.Well done guys and good luck for the next six nations.
