Thank you for your comment.Yes, I think her slick clothes and erotic dance moves were that she just tried to show like a grown-up.Because she hated that she is called a pop idol.Anyway, she is a rare person(singer). At this Japan, more people are entering her fan club, after she pass away. And I will also never forget Minako forever, like other fans(include you) of her will never:)

Thanks to 214197135 for his comment. Millions of us still love Minako. I wonder how many celebrities inspire such genuine admiration. She showed us how fully alive a person can be while still being humble, appreciative and down-to-earth. A Japanese friend once described her to me as "hade",essentially "flashy" maybe even intending something like "gaudy". Behind the slick clothes and erotic dance moves was a sweet, genuine woman. Life itself must value her as we do. Greg G. of Portland

Three years ago yesterday Minako passed away. I enjoy this and the opera and other classical adaptations she did in her mid-thirties. She was also charming doing enka and strutting her stuff as she sang "M","Tempation","Marilyn 1986" etc. It was the way her sweetness and her sensuality reinforced one another that attracted us. We then noticed the beauty of her voice. She was both a perfect example of Japanese femininity and her own unique self. We're not likely to see her like again.Greg G.

Ayaka Hirarhara was the first version I heard it from. It is also pretty nice.I am very delighted to here this wonderful rendition as well. Also... 'I vow to thy my country.' is the original score that Gustav Holst got his inspiration to 'Jupiter, the bringer of Jolity.' |
