Johnny Danady es un monstrico del bongo....mi pana Cheo Navarro ( Bailtanino ) decia que él y Orestes Vilato eran los reyes del Bongo y Timbal...ha sido mi patron a seguir en bongó...El Master, unico...que Dios lo cuide y bendiga para tenerlo mucho rato con nosotros...

Que emociòn ver a este veterano de la orquesta de Tito Puente,Barretto y La típica, tocando como en sus mejores tiempos en una grabaciòn tan reciente.Doug Beavers, tremendo trombonista, lo ví junto a el Dandy con la Perfecta de Palmieri.

"El Dandy", trabajó casi toda su vida artística (30 o más años) con Tito Puente. Como Tito no dejaba hacer sólos a sus músicos, es sólo después de su muerte (la de TP) que genios como Johnny han salido a relucir. Otro ejemplo es la "Giants of Latin Jazz" búsquenla. Gracias Sean, ¡te pasaste!

Dandy has been leading the pack in bongo playing for the last 30 yrs. He's been my favorite and I have tried to copy his style. He's also the tastiest campanero in the business.Sabrosura, gusto y afinque total en el bongo'.Abrazos pa' ti maestro. Dario

Thanks for the great compliment. Not only was it great to witness history and meet legends like Johnny and Eddie but they are also very humble which speaks volumes! I will post more videos in the coming days |
