All of what you say is correct. But our Western culture suffers from an overemphasis on thin-ness, perpetrated by the fashion industry and the corporate mainstream media. Women who are "unlucky" enough not to be naturally thin are made to suffer. The "fitness" and "weight-loss" industry is HUGE and it capitalizes on this distortion.

That's right, honey. Find someone who loves you for who YOU are, not some media-imposed fantasy.

Body types are different for different people. You can't claim that a skinny girl has an eating disorder just as you can't claim a fat girl can't control herself. Genetics plays a part. As for the media issue of under representing women of various body types, the idea of beauty fluctuates. The west once viewed fat women as attractive, the idea of the Rubenesque women comes to mind.

you have an opinion of beauty, and so do i. so lets leave that alone. but saying that gemma is anorexic is ridiculous, she was 15-16 and clearly not fully developed in all these pictures. that is just being unfair. if you saw her now as a young woman you'd see that she is a bit larger and fully grown. oh and btw, she dated heath ledger. ;)
