This is, to my knowledge, the only time Ernie 'truly' bought something from Lefty. I think we can all agree that the air and the invisible ice cream cone shouldn't count. They were just gags.

I once saw this in a Shalom Sesame episode. This scene kept switching between English and Hebrew

Actually, I want to get that painting. Do they have a copy of the original painting that was shown in this episode of Sesame Street? And who was the artist?

Excuse me, but there seemed to be a loud 'thud' at the end of the clip. I wondered where it seemed to be coming from?

I remembered this gem and the ending too! This brings back great memories of this painting and of ernie's reaction when bert was already shown the same painting earlier!

Maybe Lefty's ears did fall off during the skit, and I wonder if this was the first skit Lefty was on where he had ears, and after this skit the directors and producers were probably not able to get his ears back on him, (glue was probably not working that well either). So maybe that's the reason why he doesn't have ears on the other skits.

Lefty was GOING to sell the 8's to Ernie, but Ernie didn't buy them. Ernie already bought a bunch of 9's. |
