I've had two liver biopsies and the worst part for me was when they explained what might go wrong! The next worst part was actually laying on my side for hours!

I had a biopsy gun used on me. I don't know how the above method, with the syringe would feel, but with the gun, all I felt was a little pinch and it was over.

I am a Physician Assistant who has had more than 15 liver biopsy. I can personally tell you that either blind stab or us guided liver biopsy really, really hurts. Every patient should be treated humanely and given a combo pain/relaxer therapy prior to the procedure. If not you are being a butcher not a physician.JB from Hopkins

Great video. I teach 1st year med students and I think it'll be very useful for my students to see and get an idea of what the medical procedure involves.
