Argo got the Doncaster plant from Case in 2000 along with the name McCormick, it then became McCormick Tractors International.Ex McCormick employee, redundant 2007.

No, McCormick never made tractors then. They made implements, it was only after the death of Cyrus Sr that they merged with a few other manufacturers and became International Harvesters. It was under that name they first produced tractors, some of which where sold under the brand name of McCormick. Harvesters was then purchased by the Tenneco corporation and became Case International.

None of the tractors in this video have ever been made in America, Argo bought the rights to the name McCormick in 2000 when they acquired the Case plant in Doncaster England. The Italian owners decided to close the plant in 2007 and move production to the Landini plants in Fabbrico and San Martino in Italy. See my video for some views of the Doncaster plant.
