Any time k.d. lang sings Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", it touches my soul. Her voice is perfect, and while this was not the same as hearing her in concert, it came close.

I'm not even a religious person but with Buckley's version I feel like God and the Heavens are about to burst open. Again, I love K.D., but this version is easy listening, something I would expect to hear at the dentists' office.

Yeah you said it & i totally agree. Buckley's rendition has far greater amounts of emotion running through it. Its actually dripping with it.

I like K.d. but in no way does this version even come close to the sheer beauty and power of Buckley's rendition. This to me is like the Broadway/muzak version of the song - overdone and over produced - no passion whatsoever.
