Lol, of course... that's what a producer is supposed to do, to extract someone's music brainchilds, and they did it right ( you excluded Steve Albini). If not, the LP would be of Van Dyke Parks instead of her. :pDid I say that she didn't have any merits at all?

cute?that isn't patronizing at all... to belittle joanna's hand in her own music. i believe it was horns and thorns, sprung out fully formed knock-kneed and upright. van dyke parks merely helped to extract what joanna had heard in her head all along.

Pre-harmonic? I'm not sure I learned what that is in my music theory classes. Maybe if she was singing monophonic chant that would be correct, because I do believe there is harmony. And being a harpist myself, I can tell you there is a lot of competition in harp. But I just have a music degree, what do I know?
