Keep in mind this video is NOT meant to say that Yao = Hakeem. That's retarded. It's just meant to represent SOME similarities in their games, despite the fact that they're very different physically. Hakeem was recently quoted as saying he wants to work with Yao next summer if their schedules allow it and that was basically my inspiration for the video. I hope you like it.

I see your point as well, but guys like Wilt Chamberlain, Patrick Ewing, Shaquille O'Neal, Lou Alcindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) and many other centers that reached seven feet or taller were extremely versatile and moved well. Dwight Howard is much, much shorter than Yao and yet his numbers are far and away better than Ming's. Even if Ming isn't AS versatile, wouldn't it make sense that he would have far more rebounds and blocks? Yet this isn't the case. I consider Howard to be a premiere center.

yesss. i see your point.but just because hes taller doesnt mean better.after reaching over a cetertain height, your body becomes much less versatile.however, this applys differently for 7 footers. the human body structure isnt built for such large mass.what im tryin to say is yao moves very agile for his height. look at that kenny guy whos 7'8. if tall meant good, he would be in the NBA right away

Ok, you do realize that Ming played in a lot fewer minutes than Howard, correct? Over 1,000 fewer minutes, which pretty much voids whatever "stats" he has. Also, you do realize that the only "better stats" that Ming had was points and assists per game (again, 1,000 fewer minutes). Also, you seem to have forgotten the simple fact that despite Ming being seven inches taller, he has still only average a double-double for a full season once. Howard has done it every year in the NBA.

when did i ever say he was a complete center?yao is soft. but he knows the game well and for dwight's numbers being better than yaos? yao averaged better stats last year than howard. learn ur history. and its only the beginning of the season, you cant judge now.what do u keep typing back at me for?...loli hope you know i am FOR howard. hes my fav center, he just needs to expand his game
EricAnno (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Okay, ummm, correct if I'm wrong (I'm not) in today's basketball, being a center means dunking and getting tons of rebounds. Howard is just one example, and here's an example of a sure Hall of Famer like Howard. Shaquille O'Neal. O'Neal can't shoot, he can dunk, block, and get tons of rebounds. How much more can Howard's game expand? He's a great shooter for his size, and his numbers are ridiculous. Much better than Yao's (and Yao is five or six inches taller). Yao is a complete center? HA!

just because dwight howard is a monster at boards, has mad hops , can dunk..doesnt mean hes a complete center.dont get me wrong, i love dwight. but his game needs to expand more. he doesnt see the court like tim duncan, or can he shoot like yao ming.until hes able to understand the game more hes not gona be the best. but hes still young and has a huge chance the be the greatest ever
