Just because a few scientists were religious does not make religion right.

I don't fear to speak my mind and neither should anyone.

He just went around creating more bread and fish for the rich right? And after I hit that post comment button down below one last time I better get ready for tons and tons of hateful replies. Are there any other atheists willing to help me fight? With words I mean, not actual weapons. Let it begin.

pope mobil with bullet proof glass. So much for his faith in god´s will huh? He has all this money and all around the world they gather money and they use it for themselves and for the pope. And how many children are their starvng not only in africa but all around the world? But yeah I´m sure they dont need food. They are happy with just people praying for them. That will fill their tummies. It just makes me sick. Thats what jesus was all about wasnt he?

Poor bastard. He just cant get a break. He goes to these talk shows but everywhere they just crizicize him. Every host is more religious then the pope himself and no one can get it through their thick skulls that ghosts and monsters and deamons do not exist. Sometimes I feel like his all alone out there. People fear to speak their mind and doubt the church as if its mafia. Which it kind of in a way is. They dont kill anyone but ... You have the pope, the godfather who drives around in a

Hello chessplayer:A Catholic priest - Father Roger Bacon (1214-1294) is considered the Father of the Scientific Method.Note also that Copernicus, a Church Administrator, was ENCOURAGED to publish his theory of heliocentricity - by the Pope!Did you know that 35 craters on the moon (which are named after important scientists) are named after Jesuit priests?! Indeed, the Jesuits introduced Western science to the East. The misconceptions regarding the Catholic Church go on and on.

potter:You've explained yourself regarding "morality": Your morality says that killing millions of innocent people COULD conceivably be "right" and moral. So let's be clear about what you mean when you talk about "morals"!

Congratulations on your degree. I have a BSc. and a Master's degree. I am the Director and founder of an Educational research organization. I taught Science for years - including the Scientific Method, of course. I've written articles for the nation's largest Educational News service. I also have a few other certificates which I won't mention as they's give me away. But congratulations on your degree.

potter:Where are you reading this stuff?! The Catholic Church did indeed invent the Scientific Method, and it has always supported Science. It does so today, unwaveringly. Yes, the commission that tried him said some dumb things - but ultimately Galileo was tried for heresy, not for heliocentric theory, which was first laid out by Copernicus.Oh, and Copernicus? He was a high Church Administrator, who published his theory widely throughout the Church! You're greatly misinformed.
