My favorite saxophonists: Ben Webster, Dexter Gordon "Ballads", Sonny Rollins (before 1962), John Coltrane (before 1965), Charlie Parker, Cannonball Adderley (before 1963), some Kenny Garrett, some Michael Brecker, Joshua Redman "Elastic" and "Back East", Stan Getz (on bossa-novas).

ok. i can't stand the sound of saxaphones. any range. like i prefer the sound of a [good] oboe to saxaphone.but not only was i able to tolerate this, i actually enjoyed it. i love the color he gives the instrument, and the masterful way he crafts his phrases. he was a true musician.
