Mags1999 you are an idiot. Show me the statistics that show that most people on welfare live lavish lives. That is your opinion. Most thriving companies are not located in the ghetto so employment oppurtunities are not out there. Also study shows that most employers won't hire people from low income neighborhoods. I am in the Military and it's hard for me to get by sometimes and I make way more then the minimum wage. Raising the wage will put more mone in peoples pocket and more back in economy.

people like you have a good heart but DONT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. BC most people on welfare have nice cars, 50+ big screen tv's, pay for cable. Its called either work harder, or STOP BUYING SHIT THEY DONT NEED! if you actaully know people or have know people on welfare YOU WOULD KNOW that most people in the projects still buy $100 shoes, designer clothers, leave lights on, have nice cars. If they got rid of shit they did not need THAT IS HOW SOMEONE IS SUPPOSED TO SURVIVE

I have worked in shit jobs back when I was putting MYSELF thru school. 8 OUT OF 10 PEOPLE that work at those jobs are LAZY and make stupid decisions by having 7 kids or are drunks and drug addicts. Some people do work hard but most do not. The fact that you think that most people working at walmart work hard just goes to show that YOU HAVE NEVER worked at a minimum wage paying job or if you do YOU are a lazy person. I would be willing to bet that You are lazy and live off your parents.

Sorry people I can't side with someone that chooses to mess up their own life. America has so much opportunity its not even funny. Go to school get your degree and start at min wage and NOT stay on min wage until your 40 or so.Having 4 kids is a choice. At a min. it was 4 choices. So my question what about child support??? Let me guess the 1 to 4 guys are losers or something?

come on people with kids DONT watch them.. they stick them in front of the tv or video game or computer ...maybe the kid plays soccer. parents have more time than you think to study... which is shown when thousands of people go back and finish their degrees... SOME people need welfare but most on welfare ARE TOO LAZY and dont work... alot of people on welfare have 40"+ plasmas tv... the democrats NEVER mention that
