The box included a great majority of Parlophones, you're right, I overlooked Ronnie Munro, a 'Parlophone Man' in this period. Tommy Handley and Ronald Frankau are amongst the records as 'North and South'!

Don't know this band at all, but it's great! In a Parlophone recording from the same year (1929) of "Oh, Maggie! What Have You Been Up To?", this orchestra is credited as follows: "Parlophone Variety Company; dir. by Ronnie Munro; Tommy Handley, vocal, in "Talkieland Selection". As for The Singing Fool, Broadcast edited its own version in 1929 with the Original Havana Band.

He did, yes. An L.P was issued by EMI in the 1970's but the number of 78's was not prodigious at all. I will upload the one from this box soon.
