I grew up round there, still live not far away. The spiral staircase went a couple of years ago as part of a major renovation. Think that was sacrilege myself, should definately have been preserved to commemorate this scene.

I agree! Michael is such a versatile and amazing actor/singer/comedian. What a talent he is. Nobody in Hollywwod today can touch this guy for overall talent even though there are a lot of actors I like! Please comeback to performing soon Michael and to all the U.K. fans I hope you will see Michael in WALL-E and support him in whatever he does when he does return to the stage or screen!
