when you read the play before seeing the movie you hate stanley for being such a crude, animalistic, wife beating, rapist. but I must say, it's hard to not be drawn to marlon in some way due to his beautiful appearance, however, stanley is still a horrible, disgusting character. however vunerable he may seem in this scene. his raw sexuality in in this scene proves that - hat side of him is never far away.

I know this dude's deal. He's in love with Marlon Brando's sexiness and he can't deal with it. So he says something stupid to project it outward.Too bad man, he's dead. You won't be getting that date.

omgosh! He's such a big baby. A big immature...sexy...where was I? Oh yeah, at the part where he falls on his knees and hugs her!!!! So sexy... too bad he had to be a petulant child the rest of the movie.

I am the big Five - 0 - and been hearing it for years. I worked for a customer call center and I had one customer (without even knowing me, but because I identified myself at the opening of my call) his first greeting was 'STELLA', mind you my actual name is ESTELA, but people drop the "E" anyway!!! Can't win!
