It was decent, it's lame to blame on a low budget b/c some great movies have been made on low budgets...Anyway, a decent movie all in all. The "rat people" thing kind of bothered me through the whole viewing.

Even as a low-budget film, this was much better than Cloverfield (total shit) and I Am Legend. It goes to show how the studio system's current method of throwing away millions of dollars into a production and/or an A-list star doesn't equate quality.

I hear ya. Cloverfield was decent; I Am Legend sucks. This film here looks great, though.

All three adaptations of I Am Legend sucked. None were loyal to the book, but the latest proved to be the worst, brought low by relying primarily on cheap-ass CGI.

yeah but the new i am legend came out after this.. so this couldnt have copied it.. same with cloverfield.. that came out after this.

I Am Legend starring Will Smith sounds a lot like the book "I AM Legend" written by Richard Matheson in 1954, and the movie "Last Man on Earth" (1964) by Vincent Price based on the Matheson's book, and it looks "Omega Man" (1974) starring Charlton Heston based on Matheson's book. You're right though, I'm sure the makers of the rat people movie "Mulberry Street" were thinking Will Smith, I AM Legend. Making analogies to other movies is a good criticism. |
