As leader of The Beatles John had enough power to make the others put up with this 'experiment' for a time. I think the problem was the boys said "ok, we've listened to her, she's shit,you can bang her on your own time but we need to carry on ruling the music world here!" And that pissed off John and the band broke up partly due to the other boys' impatience with this 'artist.'
