"Sometimes you do have to scare people just to get them to thinking."Yes, you have to scare IGNORANT PEOPLE into thinking. Critical thinkers already THINK. It's the ignorant who are still convinced there's an invisible man watching over them 24-7 and will burn them for all eternity if they break any of his rules. What better tool for controlling the masses than convincing them of this? I'm not denying that the government and media do the same, in fact, politics and religion go hand in hand.

I know, you don't even have to insult them, because they do it for you!
Gladius44 (October 3, 2008 at 9:48 am)
thanks for your support queenblanche, the people on here are deluded, they judge me for being a christian, thinking were all the same. their arrogance will be what gets them in the end. in a way blanche me and you are better than them because i dont judge.

Keep your shirt on, Gladius44. It comes with the territory. You don't have to do anything for someone to hate you, I mean to really hate you. And besides, read the words of Jesus Himself when He said that the world hated Him before it hated you or me. And anyway, I think that, in spite of the bluster or bravado and even the "cussing" used on this forum, deep inside these people are scared. Deep inside these people must wonder if there really is a superior force that's above nature.

Sometimes you do have to scare people just to get them to thinking. Jesus never had to scare anyone into following Him. And with the record the early church had in gaining followers, you'd think that Christianity would have died at its inception. Fear controlling the masses? You mean like the hysteria involving global warming? Where people appear ready to give up their cherished freedoms and autonomy for highly suspect statistics? Those kind of scare tactics? |
