Endogenous Retroviruses (ERVs) are the relics of ancient viral infections preserved in our DNA. The odd thing is many ERVs are located in exactly the same position on our genome and the chimpanzee genome. There are two explanations for the perfectly matched ERV locations. Either it is an unbelievable coincidence that viruses just by chance inserted in exactly the same location in our genomes, or humans and chimps share a common ancestor. It was our common ancestor that was infected, and we both inherited the ERVs. ERVs providence the closest thing to a mathematical proof for evolution. And remember, ERVs are just one of the millions of FACTS that support the theory of evolution. Think about it.To download this video please go to: http://www.mediafire.com/?4oub...

« Scientists are divided on many fronts now, from evolution from fish to apes and now the brilliant group of scientologists »Which ones? On what subjects? Names?

[cont.] Neanderthal: Whatever it is, it's NOT human. Different shaped skull, bones, etc. Also DNA analysis now CONFIRMS that it's not human. Yet, as you say yourself, it was fairly intelligent. They built tools and buried their dead. Not human, but not an ape. I actually don't understand what your claim is here. They're intelligent, so.. what? We KNOW it's not human, so if it's intelligent, this only lends credence to evolution. (Which has already been demonstrated beyond any reasonable doubt.)

[cont.] Our "parent" being in existance: No, it's not. We are NOT evolved from monkeys or ANY species currently alive. We simply share a common ancestor with them. We don't "come from monkies" anymore than poodles "come from" pitbulls. They simply share a common ancestor, as do humans share a common ancestor with other apes. Non-human apes are also just as evolved as we are; they are simply adapted to a different niche. Evolution is not a ladder.

See, this is where "Ignorance of evolution is NOT the same as an argument against it" comes to play. From your new comment, you clearly DON'T understand evolution, so arguing with you would be more of a "lesson", not an argument. I will respond to this last comment, BUT I recommend you actually learn what evolution is. [Out of room; next post]

"if we are evolved from apes"We are apes: Family Hominidae "The DNA link is missing in this stage and also shows that neanderthals had larger brains and are thought of as just as intelligent as contemperanous homo sapiens."And...why does cranial capacity and intelligence matter?Cro-Magnon has direct ancestry to modern humans. Neanderthal shares common ancestry with modern humans and became extinct, the DNA is quite clear on this matter. Google Neanderthal Genome ProjectWhat is your point?

"I don't need to cite anything b/c it is general knowledge of the split between those three."You may want to use these resources for future scientific inquiries. They contain free open access, full text, quality controlled, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary journals, papers, letters and reviews, research reports, commentaries, reviews, colloquium papers...*Nature*Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences*Public Library of Science*Science*Directory of Open Access Journals

Then explain this. How is it possible that with the theory of evolution that we if we are evolved from apes that we are the only species left in the entire world with its evolutionary "parent" still in existence? The monkeys, apes, chimps all made it through this "evolutionary" period but the neanderthals and cro-magnons did not. The DNA link is missing in this stage and also shows that neanderthals had larger brains and are thought of as just as intelligent as contemperanous homo sapiens.
bleepingblah (September 5, 2008 at 2:22 am)
Are you kidding? Scientists are divided on many fronts now, from evolution from fish to apes and now the brilliant group of scientologists. I don't need to cite anything b/c it is general knowledge of the split between those three.
TheSophistSmasher (September 5, 2008 at 1:56 am)
"This is a great video unfortunately for you scientists now believe that we aren't an evolution product of apes, monkeys or chimps."?????????Please Cite the Scientific Peer Reviewed Source...Title, date, page... That purports that claim.

So basically, look up the basics of that which you disagree with before you advertise your absence of knowledge. Ignorance of evolution is NOT the same as an argument against it.
