Before Jack Nicholson, the only Joker people knew of was Cesar Romero's clown version. Jack was the first to bring back the psychotic side of The Joker. Critics raved about his performance just like they do today w/ Ledger's. Thanks to him, the character was included by the AFI as one of the 100 greatest villains in movie history. Saying that Jack's version was a joke is just ridiculous. Without Jack's input, Heath would only have Romero's version as a blueprint.

i like the fact ledger brought back the evil joker though even though his laugh wasn't as good. the joker was just a joke when jack nicholson played him.

These designers ruined some characters while really improving on others. They killed the Riddler, but they definately made the Joker 20x better.

Dude what the hell is wrong with this revamping of the Batman animated series. He doesn't even look like a clown anymore these people are retarded. Scarecrow doesnt even look like a scarecrow anymore creepy yes but they could have done better with him there are creepy drawings of scarecrow that they could of done and the Joker is so basic now in this one. They need to go back to there roots which was the emmy award winning Batman Animated Series in the 90's idiots.

The Joker is DEFINATELY Batmans greatest foe in the comics, thats a fact! Maybe hes not your favorite villain and thats cool, but he IS Batmans archnemesis.

Truth is neither of our opinons are defintive on the subject and I was simply stating my mind, and your ok to do so as well, but we can't say for sure.BTW My comics reading is somewhat sporadic but I have read a lot (EG The Killing Joke and Greatest Joker stories ever told)
