Fats was actually born in New York on 10th Avenue, not in Passaic New Jersey

Fats died in December of 1943 at 39 from pneumonia. He was a learned pianist who knew the classics as well as his music.

Finally got to see a vid of him. I keep a bunch of his recordings on my iPod to play when I am feeling down. It is just about he happiest music there is. |
