Great economy cartoon starring Popeye. Popeye is on trial from beating up Bluto so many times and clips from older Popeye cartoons are used as proof. An economy cartoon is one were clips from other cartoons are used to keep costs down for the making of this cartoon.

These Popeye economy cartoons are also known as "cheaters". Througout Popeye's film history there are a number of economy cartoons. Back then cheaters weren't so bad since the invention of Home video didn't exist and Popeye cartoons weren't seen on TV until 1957, so seeing clips used from older cartoons weren't as obvious to movie viewers. |
