also campus police are a joke, they are mad because they arent real cops with real salaries, so they do tend to go alot harder on people then a normal police officer would. same thing with security at my highschool before i graduated, they thought they were badasses but they are nobodies.

No you do not, In that state it is okay though, Here in new jersey tazers are illegal and cops cant even obtain them. See thats another thing, they arent really legal everywhere and the places they are your bound to have a few cops that might abuse it. I think they did what was right, I also think you ddidnt see the whole video you just saw what the media wanted you to see, They cut out everything but the parts where the cops look bad, sadly most people stil havent caught on to that ind of stuff

He'd prob rather be tazered though cuz if they tried to do it physically then they would have beat him up or broke something then he'd be crying out for another reason. Id rather be stunned then have something broken personaly.

They shouldn't be needed, but they kind of are in recent decades due to school shootings, bombings, etc. Humanity increases the violence output, police and military do as well. I find it sad. :/

I agree its a generalization, it just looks too natural on the cops how they handled the situation, like a poster said "its a standard procedure". Its just amazing that you need cops with teasers in schools, the schools I attended had conduct codes that when violated could get you penalties or even expelled. But teased and arrested? thats very whacky.

Even 5 officers is far from any respectable majority to generalize.. I'd much rather have officers with tasers on campus than firearms. Imagine if the student had been planning on harming other students? All officers on campus would have been criticized if not punished for not being forceful enough. Ideally, the kid should have been less stubborn and self righteous, and the officers should have handled it better. Story of the world.

It was not one, it was like 5, 5 cops needed to shock a guy to take him away. It just seems that police is there to make people afraid, not to make people safe. And how do you allow cops with teasers in your schools? and used against your own students? becouse he had no id? There are things like "admistrative penalties", electric shocks? are you sheep? dogs? even then animal rights would make those guys pay.Search UCLA Taser Video to see the original footage.

Police training is very focused on non-violent suppression. You should look it up. The acts of one officer who possibly should not be one don't reflect the whole. It's even hard to tell what's really happening in this video, since it's just audio + subtitles and interviews with dense college students.

Youtube is far from a valid representation of the entire world.. There are more USA videos on English youtube not just of police brutality but of anything, because America is a big media-centric cesspool. The USA does not have the worst rep for crooked cops, just the most publicized. |
