My favorite Elton John Songs of all time. It's atmospheric, timeless, capturing anger at injustice beautifully.

Honesty and integrity. Great stuff. I wish I could have seen thsi Elton John, and not the inflated satire of himself that I saw in Las Vegas last year:(It's funny - Elton John was the original Ben Folds Five (piano/bass/drums - no guitar)

Songs like this one is what drew me to Elton John in the first place. I loved his early stuff especially the Good Bye Yellow Brick Road album, but he lost me after Caribou. I guess all that success and excess made him goofy. Peace.

Nigel's smiles around 1:50 just make my heart soar - that's a musician who is just blissed out on the sheer joy of making music. And Elton's smile at Nigel seems like his way of saying, "Look at us, man. Can you believe this is happening?" That's so lovely. God do I hate what EJ became.

Back when he was a real musician and not just Mr. Fabulous.
