Talk about inspiring! I hope I can play as well as Mr.Bellson at that age! He still can swing a band!Dennis was the man hands down in good fun,but I have respect for each drummer.Cheers to Dennis Chambers,Louie Bellson and Greg Bissonette.

Well,Each drummer here is unique,I like Bisonnette his way of playing allot,but here you have 3 drummers with a different approach..Very good video

Dennis often uses double pedal but also has a right foot that could convince anyone he was playing double bass if he wanted too

Dennis didn't kill anyone....Bissonette was tearing it up....just more subtle playing. Louie is a great drummer just not neccesarily a funk/shuffle guy.

even though Chambers has a single kick I swear I could hear things only a double bass pedal on a single kick could do....the problem is that during certain sections of seemingly "double bass" I can see the high hat moving up and down- as though he's playing all the kick stuff with only one foot...is and can someone do that type of rapid and controlled kick work with a single foot?

I believe that Dennis' microphones on the the drum-set are much more turned on so his drumset appears to me to be louder and this makes the battle unfair ,listen for example to Dennis bassdrum-incredible, and Louis ones-as he had a pillow instead of a bassdrum ,Bissonette is in the middle.

That bit that Chambers did at 5:27 where he reaised his eyebrows after his awesome solo was great.

The other trio from this show are better players, but the groove with these guys is much nicer. |
