Very difficult piece to tackle. Bravo. My main beef is not your fault; I felt the conductor rushed this piece. The tempo was far too fast in my opinion. No offense to your band mates however, your accompaniment did not do you justice. Kudos. I would not have had the guts to attempt such a difficult piece at your age.

I guess being able to play a mediocre rendition at a young age is considered good these days. A lot of improvement required... but fortunately a lot of time to do it! If he makes it, he'll wish this video didn't exist ;)

well . .it's only cheating to play it on an Eb if you can't play it on a Bb and this lad can play it on everything, I've heard him. . . . .and Hummel did write it for E trumpet , it's transposed down a semitone to Eb . . . . I'm with you on the relaxed playing - very cool.
