Well, he has come a long way, and even has some tasty stuff at times. What's cool is that he actually developed a style that's instantly recognizable. No mean feat.Still love herington though.

You have to be impressed at Walter's evolution to lead guitar from bass. He is very good. SD's jazzy sound benefits from it.

Casual, and perhaps not so casual fans, should note: there are many Steely Dan live recordings out there. This whole concert on DVD for one, and other DVD concerts plus many more audio recordings of tours from 1993 forward, and even from 1974. You really can escape to an entire world of their music - including songs they never released !!!

oooooh fm is a beautiful song. the dan are amazing. i skip a lot of tracks on my mp3 but whenever a steely dan song starts i just have to listen...they're so cool.

That's why I steer clear of Fm radio and why I LURV Cowhand AM radio, the station that says 'it may be a stillborn calf to you, farmer, but it's helping to support these guys with intimidatingly-vast wingspans and their families.......
