u know, u don't need that type of guitar to do this song, u could just buy an octave pedal. The second head has a second string set that is set in an octave higher. The octave pedal does the same thing without adding more strings. just the sound.

you should look at the video of Tom Morello performing this song with Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Tom's second solo is amazing! :D

Un soir j'ai vu un esprit. Il m'a dit " tu vas mourir " et il a disparu. Maintenant que vous avez lu ça vous allez mourir dans 3 jours exactement sauf si vous mettez ça sur 50 videos, c'est pas de moi.

thank you Vinny - much appreciated. Ive read some Steinbeck, but cant recall Grapes too well.really appreciate that - will have to read that novel (again?) - loss of brain cells hurts.and you are certainly dead fuckin on - lyrics suit the Rage version much more that Bruces (no offense to Bruce whatsoever - not a bruce fan, but the guy has some great lyrics)

Tom Joad is the main character from the John Steinbeck novel The Grapes of Wrath, he is like a union organizer in the dust bowl era who stands up for the oppressed. The amazing thing is that Springsteen wrote this song and not rage! It is such rage song as well!

excellent band RATM, excellent cover of an amazing song by Sprinsteen, about an inspiring character from a superb novel. kudos to all involved for keeping the ghost and spirit of tom joad alive! |
