I thank you for sharing your experiences. In This Time's a Charm; Lessons of a Four-Time Cancer Survivor, Donald A. Wilhelm tells his real-life story from a patient's perspective about surviving cancer four times. His intent is to give his readers a true depiction of what cancer, and its treatment, is really like. He intends his eBook to parallel an old Chinese proverb that says: "To know the road ahead, ask those coming back."

I wish the senator well in his battle with cancer, but wish he'd show empathy for the millions in the US and the billions around the world who can't get cancer therapy. Much of the fault for this crime is due to Sen. Specter and his crime partners in the Congress & White House. I watched infants die abroad due to Spector's putting his appeasment of the weapons makers over universal health care -- this is inhuman and hurts US security. Would someone from PA pass this note to Spector?

No. That was on the Gary Hart video. "you and people like you" - hahaI just didn't know much about the man. I was curious and I asked. Apparently he was very hard on Anita Hill when she was testifying against Clarence Thomas. Do you really want to discourage debate and others asking questions? You could brag about his accomplishments instead of criticizing me for my ignorance. Thanks for the info though.

He's the last libertarian republican with any power. He's one of the only Republicans during Bush's six year mandate who stood against him and those neo-funda-chriso-fascists who somehow got elected into majority. Have you ever seen him on a pannel during a congressional hearing? I mean, what do you want, a sex scandal? Is that sort of crap the only thing you and people like you are interested in?

Is Arlen Specter the architect of interesting legislation? He voted for the war I assume. What else is worth knowing about the man?
