AmStaffs are directly descended from Pits. The old standard which is ignored now was based on Colbys Primo. I have met many more AmStaffs that are fight crazy than I have pits & Ive only met about 10 AmStaffs & Ive been around hundreds of pits. My own pit is just weird acting. I think the people that had him before I got him mistreated him. He hates certain things. Sometimes the smallest noise like clicking my fingernails against each other makes him cringe like he is about to be hit.

Dog aggression can only be beaten by carefull breeding. Even if you've seen bull type terriers left alone with other dogs, any true breeder can tell you this is not the best thing to do. not because they will attack them for sure, but to prevent the first fight from happening. this aggression is in ther DNA, it's hidden at the bottom sometimes, but it is there and thats why you breed carefully. this are not dogs for first time owners.

well The American pit bull terrier might not be a recognized breed by the AKC or other kennel clubs such as the FCI but the truly carefully bred APBT is a breed My mistake is that I wasn't clear on that. This pure bred APBTs are as well balanced as the Amstaff's sometimes. Still there are some APTBs "breeders" that look for power and endurance to compete in working trials, but don't really pay attention to the temperament.

Well, you can't make that statement because pitbull, the term, is an umbrella term and we don't know what pitbull is purebred or one that has been mixed for aggression. There are some good pitbulls out there with good temperaments, but hey, Amstaff and Pitbulls are not THAT much different from other terriers. You HAVE to beat that dog aggression out by socializing them. I've seen submissive pits and seen crazy ones. And there are plenty of pits left with other dogs all the time.

Blue amstaffs have blue noses and though the standard calls for black noses, genetics and breeding have taught judges and breeders that with a recesive color you cannot have a black nose. A blue nose is allowed in blue amstaffs.

Amstaffs don't have the same temperament nor the dog-dog agression than pitbulls. Amstaffs are much more balanced because breeders have chosen to keep a well tempered breed. Sadly this is not the case for pitbulls, they haven't been bred carefully. Dog-dog agression cannot be battled with socialization, these dogs (no matter how socialized) should never be left alone unsupervised with other dogs. genetics should not be taken for granted.

AST never got taller its came from cross breeding them with pits that mess up the bloodline I'm the only one who got the true bloodline of the AST which is 19 inches and 70lbs my uncle use to work has a AST breeder

What do you mean 10 inches smaller? height? girth ?. Probably the main reason AST`s have gotten bigger over the years is nutrition & the APBT has been crossed with them. & everyone knows Breeders such as Razors Edge have backcrossed to the English Bulldog. Their Tricolor pits are obviously crossed to the Rottweiler. Presa Canario would be 10 inches taller which is a pit x Mastiff. I have 2 AST`s & 1 Staffy all 3 are very people friendly because we socialized them & we`re never cruel to them

The AST weight size is 70 pounds and These dogs are 10 inches smaller then the APBT. Some fokes say that AST's weigh in around 80 pounds and this is majority, Most of the AST's that Are that large have been crossed with another breeds.
