In 1984 a friend called me and another friend into his dorm room to hear "something new." I heard Michael Hedges for the very first time. "Aerial Boundaries" was the opening track on the album of the same title. The room was silent ... reverential. I remembering staring out of a window and imagining an eagle or hawk soaring (with purpose). He looks so young in this video -- maybe he had just composed the tune. What talent!

Wow, absolutely amazing! It's so much more amazing to actually see the fingering and hear at the same time. When I just listen, I find myself thinking, how the heck did he do that. Seeing it still doesn't really answer that question, but it gives it a whole other dimension.
